So I've collected together various illustrations of people playing with paper dolls!  These are mostly from pintrest, so I don't know where all of them came from.  Some are from magazines, some are covers of paper doll sets, and some are illustrations.  If you know any infromation about anything that is not identified, or is incorrect, please let me know.  If you have any you'd like to add, also let me know and I'll link it in!

Sally sent me a few more she found on Ebay, posted below.  Thanks Sally!

Mary Englebreit October Paper Dolls

Here are two uncut paper dolls from the artist Mary Englebreit out of her magazine, Home Companion.  I don't have dates on these for the year, but I'm pretty sure the month would have been October, because of the Halloween costumes.  Ann Estelle has two outfits, including a very cute princess costume and lots of tiny accessories.  Gracie has two outfits including a clown costume and lots of tiny accessories as well.

Mary and Her Toys

Here is a lovely paper doll published by the Samuel Lowe Company.  This set was published in 1943.  Since it is a cut set, it is missing some items, like her 'toys'.

Muny Opera Dressograph

Thanks to the St. Louis Dispatch, we also have lovely Opera outfits like the ones above.  This opera singers is Ruby Mercer and she has three lovely costumes and two hats.  The page has some small tears on top, it is fragile newspaper, but thankfully the doll and outfits are unaffected by this fact.  The writing below the page indicates it was published July 7th 1935

Dainty Squid Blogger Paper Doll

http://www.thedaintysquid.com/

So a while ago I stumbled across a blog called The Dainty Squid by Kaylah. (link above).  I was very inspired by her "What I Wore" posts and asked if I could do a paper doll inspired by her posts and fashions.  Kaylah thankfully agreed, and here is the result above.  As you may notice, her hair color changes often, which I love.  I gave her 6 outfits and 5 hairstyles, all from references from her blog posts.  I wished to do more, but this took much longer then I anticipated, so I decided to wrap up this project.  I hope to do more blog fashion paper dolls, do you have a blog about fashion?  Want a paper doll? Let me know!

Teddy Bears

This cute sets is called Teddy Bears my very first paper dolls. It includes 2 bear dolls (a boy and a girl) with very simple outfits so young children can cut them out.  This was published by the Whitman company in 1978 and originally sold for .59 cents (on sale for .55 cents!).  Six pages of outfits in total, most look like they fit both dolls.
